Introducing the finalists and winner of the TClarke Apprentice of the Year competition 2017, Group Managing Director Mike Crowder focused on the firm’s future growth and the instrumental role that the next generation of leaders would be playing in achieving that.
A message to young people across the UK with an interest in technology and engineering
Our industry is undergoing a technology-driven revolution - If you are a young person with a fascination for technology and for building things then this is a great time to get involved in construction.
I would also say that a TClarke apprenticeship has a lot more to offer than most. We attract highly motivated and capable young people and we provide them with some of the best career path opportunities - not just in construction but across the whole world of engineering. At TClarke, as so many of our leaders prove, apprenticeships lead right to the very top of our business in a wide range of leadership roles. We’re growing, our apprenticeships are industry leading and so - most importantly - are our apprentices. Investment in and optimism for the future
Investment in and optimism for the future
TClarke invests substantially in our apprenticeship scheme - way ahead of industry best practice targets. We do this because we want to secure the quality of our resource going forward - and the ideas and skills which come from having the best people. As we look forward to further growing our business, the provision of great career paths will remain a bedrock of our approach - so the Apprentice of the Year competition is something with real value and prestige within TClarke. I want to congratulate every one of our nominated apprentices, not only our three finalists. The standard this year has been exceptional.
