Walkie Talkie win is our 4th major tower now under construction
TClarke awarded 20 Fenchurch Street contract.
Securing the electrical contract for 20 Fenchurch Street - also known as the ‘Walkie Talkie’, means that with the Pinnacle and 100 Bishopgate already underway, we are now working on 4 iconic new towers in the City (including our DGR team’s ongoing work at the Shard).
Mike Enticott leads the TClarke team:
“This is a joint venture between Canary Wharf Group and Land Securities and it features a distinctive, top-heavy organic form that appears to burst upward and outward. We’re starting on the design works immediately and will begin installation works on the site in Spring of 2012. We are obviously delighted to have secured this project and to be working on several major towers across the City right now.”
20 Fenchurch Street is designed by the Uruguayan-born architect Rafael Viñoly and will have a total area of 695,800 sq ft, including 14,000 sq ft of retail space.
