Bellbird Primary School, Cambridge

As a new-build, Bellbird Primary School was a good opportunity to use a range of green technologies.

We achieved a safe and secure environment with the inclusion of external lighting, access control, CCTV and a sophisticated alarm system.

The building management system we installed manages windows, doors and heating in The Arcade linking the entrance and hall to The Atrium, allowing electronic control for natural ventilation.

A special feature was the underfloor heating, supplied by air source heat pumps.

And as a focal point, we created The Atrium − a shared learning space with an ICT pod onto which each of the 9 classrooms opens up.
