TClarke teams deliver more critical projects for the NHS

8/4/20 : TClarke healthcare teams are working on critical hospital projects, at different phases of development, across the UK. Together we’re helping provide additional emergency beds needed to address Coronavirus, as UK South Director Rob Faro reports:

Our thanks to the NHS

Everyone at TClarke wants to thanks the people of the NHS who are doing so much for our country and our people right now. They are heroes – it’s that simple.

Our teams are doing our best to support them – and we are able to do that in practical ways. There is no better motivation than supporting the NHS right now.

While (as reported a few days ago) our healthcare controls and manufacturing operation is working to manufacture controls systems and install imaging equipment nationwide, our specialist healthcare teams are also working flat out, with long term partners across the NHS, on key Covid 19 projects in several different hospitals.

Delivering key systems for new emergency ICU wards

We are working with modular building specialist, Premier Modular, providing M&E infrastructure, life safety systems and specialist medical systems. David Harris, Divisional Director at Premier Modular commented ‘Premier Modular has really understood the value of true partnerships when having to mobilise overnight to manufacture and deliver emergency ICU wards within an unprecedented 3 week timeframe to support the UK’s fight against Covid 19. The team at TClarke used their expertise and capacity to work tirelessly with us to mobilise and deliver.’

Converting normal wards into isolation wards

We are working in a number of hospitals, doing essential maintenance and also in the conversion of normal wards into isolation wards.

Designing and delivering new field hospitals

We are also working on the design, planning and delivery of some field hospitals.

All of this work is being co-ordinated and led by our South West operation and the fact that we have such a depth of in-house specialists and expertise across the business is what allows us to play our part fully. TClarke people across the country are showing their capability as well as their sheer commitment.

This is a fast moving situation and it is all about collaboration with our partners and supply chain – so I am grateful on behalf of all our teams, that James McDermott, Electrical Site Manager at Royal Cornwall Hospital made a comment like this on Linkedin :

“It’s a real pleasure to continue to serve the NHS at this time, we’re all working extremely hard to keep everyone safe, and critical projects moving forward. I feel blessed to be part of this amazing team TClarke has created.”

Providing expertise and specialist equipment

Ian Nicholls, Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust eHealth Transformation Manager commented:

“TClarke really helped us out today by supplying networking equipment immediately to allow us to connect the Duchy private hospital to the trust network. It genuinely wouldn’t have been possible if you hadn’t.”
