TClarke wins a fourth major project at IQL

24/2/22 : TClarke is very pleased to announce its success in winning the complete MEP package for the 22 floor, 32,500 sq m building S4 at the IQL development in Stratford and will be starting onsite this autumn. Clive Carr reports.

Building S4 will be the fourth in a row with Lendlease at IQL (the previous being S5, S6 and S9). This is a high value project involving a major commercial development and our package includes Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health under a JCT Design & Build Contract.

Our partnership with Lendlease is leading edge and high collaborative. We will be using our full BIM capability, to level 2, LOD 400 and this will be delivered by our in-house BIM specialist team. It will build on the recent successful BIM Modelling undertaken in collaboration with the Lendlease BIM Team on the Phase 2 Ruskin Square project.

We will also be building on the success of all the previous IQL projects and exploiting the body of retained project knowledge we have built up. An early works commitment between ourselves and Lendlease has allowed a faster development of the structural interfaces with the building fabric, ensuring a quick re-mobilisation of the Structural Trades and securing valuable project time.

Once again, extensive use of TClarke offsite capability will be used to provide a DfMA solution to the Basement Plant and HEX Skids within the Risers. 

Moreover, this project also bodes well for the future as the first building of the “next wave” of Lendlease developments at IQL. We see this as an opportunity to provide continued support to Lendlease going forward on future projects.
