We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, diligent, and reliable Mechanical Estimator to join our pre-construction team within the Portishead Area.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Understanding of mechanical systems
- To prepare full tenders and take responsibility for design and build projects and pre-designed projects
- Ability to demonstrate understanding of tender / projects
- To provide tender breakdown in logical format
- Prepare accurate take offs
- To maintain accurate and concise information
- To clarify your tender comprehensively
- To identify and inform risks whilst carrying out tender
- To identify and raise technical queries
- Complete quotation analysis on all projects
- Ability to provide accurate budget costs
- Overall understanding and use of Estimation & Microsoft software
- Meet tender deadlines
- To produce tender submission documents including sanitaryware schedules
- Ability to recognise and cost VE items
- To be able to carry out basic calculations for D&B projects.
- Meeting client / contract requirement deadlines
- To provide detailed handover information for in-house / external organisations
Requirements:
- IT literate in all Microsoft Office 365 products.
- Estimation experience beneficial but not essential
- Effective communication skills
- Sound interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Ability to develop self and others.
- Organisational and planning skills
- Effective team player
- Ability to address problems calmly and work towards successful solutions
