TClarke secures major Cambridge life sciences campus

13/1/22: Working with long term partner Morgan Sindall, TClarke has been awarded the full MEP package for the 90,000 sq ft Phase 2 of Unity Campus within Cambridge’s expanding life sciences cluster.

Phase 2 of Unity Campus features three new wet laboratory buildings of 32,500 sq ft, 31,000 sq ft and 24,500 sq ft, available for occupation during the summer and autumn of 2023. With sustainability as an underlying principle both during construction and occupation, owner, Howard Group is targeting a BREEAM Excellent rating for each building.

Glynn Herbert, Managing Director, TClarke Peterborough puts the win in context.

“We are delighted to add to our strong track record as the leading Engineering Services provider in Cambridge and to be delivering both the mechanical and electrical elements with our in-house TClarke team and to be playing our part in delivering a highly sustainable project.

“Over recent years, we have completed a series of high specification laboratory, educational and technical projects to help the growth of Cambridge as a world centre for life sciences. We are very happy to be working once again with Morgan Sindall and look forward to collaborating with them to get this excellent project delivered.

“TClarke has emerged in recent years as a market leader for Engineering Services in both Oxford and Cambridge. Our scale, in-house capabilities and financial strength make us the natural first choice in both these markets and help us towards achievement of our overall business strategy.”
