Why is North West client safety award such a strategic signal for our whole business?

5/3/21: Last year TClarke’s North West team won its first major project delivering engineering services for the landmark Royal College of Physicians in Liverpool. Now it has won principal contractor Overbury’s Health and Safety Award.

Kevin Mullen, Director of TClarke UK North, explains the deeper significance of this for our business.

“When a company expands geographically, quickly and very efficiently – and goes on to win a major project like this, the regional industry will want to see how they do. Can they maintain their standards and ways of working? Can they deliver the service quality they are already known for in established regions? Are their people here as good? Is it the same organisation?

“Engineering services are about quality in delivery day in day out, on the ground. That is how you build your reputation. So when we get a comment from our Overbury client Holly Armitage as follows :

“Its been a pleasure working with you on RCP and your award is well deserved. You and your team have continued to consistently engage in all aspects of H&S on this project, endeavoured to lead by example and readily communicate and support aspects of H&S with our site team, thank you”

“We take that as a very important sign that we have been delivering the project the TClarke way. It is a great credit to Joe Westworth, Lee Holmes (pictured with the award) and the whole team, that this is the experience they are delivering.

“When you then realise that we are ‘on the up’ as a business and looking forward to growth, this kind of sign is extremely important and reassuring. TClarke engineers are among the very best in the business. Our culture is strong because they deliver it with the same commitment whether we are doing a project here, in central Scotland, in Cornwall or anywhere in the UK.

“We take time to celebrate these moments of client recognition because they mean a lot to us – they show the health of our culture and that’s going to be a very important thing for everyone interested in our growth in coming years.”
